Can the DNC learn a lesson?

Well, Kamala Harris failed to prove herself to the American people (or did she?) and Donald Trump made a persuasive case for Republicans everywhere (or did he?). The Democratic Party acted aggressively to present its case to modern America (or did it?) but the Republican Party’s ground game was more effective (or was it?).

This process and the result were baffling to the vast majority of pundits. The polls were dismissed by many as the result of Republican-biased fake polls intended to support Trump in his challenges in the event of a loss and yet, the composite polls seemed to actually have it right with Harris losing to Trump 69 million to 73 million. While not a tie, it is within most margins of error and while not a landslide, (Reagan’s 1984 win by nearly 10% of the popular vote defines a landslide), it is a clear win; and, of course, no Democrats are disputing its fairness.

Trump bettered his electoral margin over Biden in 2020 in almost every demographic including the Latinos that he constantly derided. Trump gained over his 2020 performance with Latino men and, to a lesser degree, Latina women. White women, who were expected to roundly reject…
