I beg to differ (and I probably mean that I'm actually begging). I often find myself despondent about our prospects. That's why I am researching how cults may be deprogrammed en masse. I discuss the messaging necessary to deprogram in such writings as https://medium.com/@julianstaylor/gerrymander-to-gerrymaster-fa6a214efae9?sk=08a5925979d0b0177d01e2f35347bb4b and https://medium.com/@julianstaylor/managing-the-free-range-cult-6f2f8fa4c100?sk=45e246eedce71c9322f52e2ffc4cc718.

I'm hoping to eventually complete a book on that topic but it's a long slog with lots of research. For now, we have to talk to people, write our Congress-members and publicly declare our democratic understanding of the world. My spouse and I host public readings of the U.S. Constitution (http://thegreatcollaboration.org/cgi/display.py?sessionID=&subTitle=Voice%20the%20Constitution&dataFile=constkit&quote=false) which we hope sway at least some to begin thinking clearly.

We do what we can do and we have to hope.
