I am not a good Medium author. I’ve been on Medium since 2019 and I love and respect my followers: Thank you every one. By Medium’s standards, though, I am a failure. I average about fifteen reads per essay and I don’t count on Medium for my income. I write when I am inspired and since I am a fairly dull fellow, that means an essay every few weeks which is far below the Medium standard which insists upon a daily blog-style rendering.

I have very few followers (under 300) which persuades me that my followers are a select breed of critical readers. As a result, I am reluctant to write an essay unless I really think I’ve come up with something that my unique readers have not already considered. Writing so as to respect the intelligence of one’s readers is a challenge. I do not publish every day because my every-day ideas are unlikely to interest my readers. I choose to not waste their time.

A few months ago, I was offered a spot on a rather interesting platform called Tremr (https://www.tremr.com/). My experience on Tremr has been interesting and rewarding. Tremr encourages comment and interaction. As a result, I’ve seen a lot of feedback from readers and while my Medium articles are appreciated by my small band of followers, Tremr seems to pull in much more activity and direct feedback.
